Funeral Costs
We know that you may be understandably anxious about funeral costs. We aim to be as open and transparent about costs as possible. We provide a full written estimate to each and every client and for most funerals we offer payment in two stages:
All disbursements must be paid upon finalising the funeral arrangements and at least 72 hours prior to the funeral taking place. These are the fees that we pay on your behalf and include but are not limited to Burial or Cremation fees, Minister, Church or Celebrant fees, newspaper notices, stonemason’s fees for the removal of a headstone, Order of Service booklets and flowers. These will be fully detailed on the estimate that is given to you when the arrangements are made.
Our fees are invoiced after the funeral and are payable within 7 days of the invoice date. Alternatively, we do offer a reduction of £75.00 if paid in full prior to the funeral taking place.
Exceptions to this rule are our Direct Cremation Service and our Simple funeral, both of which require full payment in advance.
Please do speak to us openly, and in confidence, over any concerns about costs. We can work with you to reduce costs and make the funeral affordable for you, and also provide information on any assistance that you may be entitled to.
We were proud to be the first Funeral director in Wales to sign the Fair Funerals Pledge by the Funeral Poverty Alliance
Each funeral is unique and costs, particularly for disbursements, can vary greatly. Disbursements are the fees that we pay on your behalf and may include Cremation or burial fees, doctors fees, ministers or celebrants, and added extras such as flowers, newspaper notices, Order of service leaflets, doves and so on. They are so varied that it would be impossible to print a complete list here however costs will always be fully discussed and they will be itemised on the estimate provided to you.
We are committed to offering a simple funeral service for all families.
