Our dad sadly lost his battle with cancer. Then we had corona to make things worse. We met with Gemma and immediately... felt at ease and that we were being helped and supported to chose dads funeral - there was no hard sell at all and we were given plenty of time to chat through what WE WANTED for dad. We were so worried about dad and Gemma’s exact words were that she treated other peoples loved ones like family and my sister really needed to hear this and she felt safe and comforted that dad was important. I particularly liked the contempoary feel with just enough tradition- i was not overwhelmed with too much funeral talk it was more that Gemma tailored her approach by what we was saying. Ofcourse pricing needs to be outlined again this was sensitive but totally transparent- everything we asked for was done on the day. I didnt realise how sensitive we would be, so now, looking back, this is so important as dads funeral was proffessional and perfect for dad. This lady is an angel in disguise & she is exactly who you need at the worst time of your life.
I entrusted my... beloved husband Steve to her & her team who were so respectful & helpful.
I will never forget how everything was there as & when we requested it.
The professional way Gemma takes charge & guide though the process every step of the way.
She was thoughtful,honest & was quick to tell us if something was necessary or could be done without.
She was available by phone or text whenever we needed her.
Honestly don’t think I’d have been able to do it without her.read more

Couldn’t thank Gemma and team enough for what they done for my mother. They went above and beyond and done everything... my mother had wished for in her funeral! Very professional, had patients of a saint and very supportive! Couldn’t ask for a better team and would highly recommend to everyone. Thank you so much you’ve made our family very happy but most importantly our mother would be over the moon that you fulfilled her wishes and done everything she planned. Ever since I first walked into their office I immediately felt welcomed and part of the family. Alex was extremely warming and welcoming and putting me at ease and I was not put under any pressure at all. There was no pressure placed on us and it was all about what we wanted as a family. My daughter who accompanied me was very happy and put at ease with the whole experience. From beginning to end my fathers funeral went beautiful without a hitch and who involved in the planning and execution of the event deserve our praise, I would like particularly to thank Alex, Gemma and Laura for the love and professionalism throughout. I highly recommend this company. Thankyou

On the most difficult of days Gemma made sure I was kept informed, showed professional and complete care during our farewell to my wonderful husband and was so knowledgeable and kind. She offered advice on just about everything, and kindly phoned just to see how me and his 14 year old daughter was. Tremendous. Couldn't fault them.

Wonderful funeral directors that actually feel more personal and friendly- not at all daunting Gemma just took us through how things work and ideas and options -NO hard sell - infact it was something me and my sister needed help with as we got a bit overwhelmed as dad had sadly passed and we were tramatised with all the corona rules etc - so in short this was perfect- compasionate and proffessional- even a free councelling number- we are so relieved this was all done so well as now its a nice experience to think about and we know dad was safely looked after and we could take our time to say goodbye but it all felt like it was more a new or different journey for dad. Nothing was too much trouble for example Gemma suggested we could write notes etc we all did with a flower and a photo and its little touches like that that were so personal and thankyou Gemna for your gentle ideas and care.

The professionalism and support I received from GE O’Driscoll and Daughters was exemplary. Having never had to deal with the death of a family member before I totally relied on the expertise of both Gemma (Director) and Alex (Funeral Arranger).They visited me at my home and immediately I felt cared for at this very difficult time.The support I received helped me through the process and I cannot thank them enough.Thank you G.E. Cannot thank Gamma enough for her compassion and care in dealing with my Mothers funeral. We as a family were made to feel special and were advised all through the process. Nothing was too much trouble. Gamma is open warm and friendly and it felt like dealing with a friend . I cannot recommend her company enough ..her personal touches and genuine care really make her stand out in this industry. Thank you again Gamma for making a difficult time easier.

I know that when you write a review for a funeral directors then you are most likely grieving. Indeed we are, the whole process of organising a funeral for my father would have been so much harder if it wasn’t for O’Driscoll & daughters. Their, compassion, guidance, advice, professionalism was second to none and I could not fault the time Gemma took to make sure that we as a family were looked after and that our wishes were respected and carried out to the letter.
